LA CARTINA DETTAGLIATA DI TUTTI I PERCORSI PER EMTB

Da oggi la cartina dettagliata che da sempre accompagna bikers ed escursionisti sui molteplici sentieri di Bardineto torna ad essere aggiornata. E' stata infatti ripristinata l'intera segnaletica dei sentieri, e nei prossimi giorni contiamo di finire di sistemare gli ultimi due o tre pezzi di trails che ancora necessitano di un pò di manutenzione. 

From today the detailed map that has always accompanied bikers and hikers on the multiple trails of Bardineto is back to being updated. In fact, the entire signage of the trails has been restored, and in the next few days we plan to finish fixing the last two or three pieces of trails that still need some maintenance.

Percorso 1 - Vallone di Muschieto / Muschieto Valley

E' un percorso che consente di visitare uno degli angoli più suggestivi della piana di Bardineto, con modesto dislivello e distanza. Da Piazza della Chiesa si scende verso sud in Via P.T. Carretto, e si incrocia la Sp 52 che si segue a sinistra fino alla rotatoria in prossimità del cimitero: qui si prende la diramazione a destra per la vicina frazione Muschieto. Si oltrepassa il ponte della frazione che si lascia a destra (km 0,7) e ci si inoltra nel vallone del Rio Muschieto seguendo la strada sterrata che lo percorre in leggera salita fino alla località Rive, dove si incontra una barra che ostruisce la diramazione sinistra (km 2,4). Si segue la strada principale tralasciando un successivo bivio a destra e si sale un tratto con pendenza accentuata in cui la strada è completamente incassata; si arriva quindi in uno spiazzo erboso in località Collette (km 3,2). Si tralasciano le diramazioni più evidenti a destra e a sinistra e si prende la strada piana in direzione sud, che si biforca poco più avanti. Seguendo il tratto in lieve discesa sulla destra ci si inoltra nella piccola valle del Rio Galera, e si raggiunge la strada provinciale nr. 52 in prossimità di un piccolo ponte (km 3,9). Seguendo la strada in discesa si ritorna al punto di partenza.

Km totali: 7,4 - Dislivello 150 mt - Tempo H0,45 / 1 

It is a route that allows you to visit one of the most suggestive corners of the Bardineto plain, with a modest difference in height and distance. From Piazza della Chiesa you go down to the south in Via P.T. Carretto, and cross the Sp 52 that follows on the left up to the roundabout near the cemetery: here you take the branch to the right for the nearby hamlet of Muschieto. Cross the bridge of the hamlet that leaves to the right (km 0.7) and head into the Rio Muschieto valley following the dirt road that runs slightly uphill to the Rive, where you meet a bar that obstructs the left branch (km 2.4). Follow the main road leaving a subsequent junction to the right and go up a stretch with an accentuated slope in which the road is completely recessed; you then arrive in a grassy clearing in Collette (km 3.2). Leave out the most obvious branches to the right and left and take the flat road in a southerly direction, which forks a little further. Following the slightly downhill section on the right you go into the small valley of the Rio Galera, and you reach the provincial road nr. 52 near a small bridge (km 3.9). Following the downhill road you return to the starting point.

Percorso 2 - La Crosa e il vallone di Rio Secco

Percorso che consente di godere di alcune bellissime viste sull'altopiano di Bardineto, sulle montagne circostanti (in particolare la Rocca Barbena, che da qui mostra il suo lato dolomitico) e offre un bellissimo tratto di sentiero in sigle track.

Si percorre il capoluogo fino a Piazza Vittorio Veneto (km 0,5) dove si svolta a sinistra in ripida salita e si imbocca Via IV Novembre che accede alla località Crosa con due tornanti; si segue la strada in modesta salita fino al termine dell'asfalto con ampie vedute panoramiche (km 2,1). Nei pressi di un casotto dell'acquedotto si imbocca la ripida sterrata che conduce in località Cianazzo, dove la strada diventa pianeggiante. Dopo circa 100 mt si svolta a sinistra (km 2,6) e ci si immette in un favoloso sentiero che con rapida discesa conduce nei pressi di un ponte sul Rio Secco nelle vicinanze di una antica fornace di calce (km 3,1). Si prende la velocissima sterrata in lieve discesa che conduce nella zona pianeggiante prativa dietro il capoluogo, dove con due svolte ravvicinate si accede al greto del torrente Rio Secco, lo si attraversa, e percorrendone il lato destro si arriva alla località Groppo dove si incontrano le prime case; uno strappo conduce in località Castello, dove si passa nei pressi del castello medievale e si accede al punto di partenza.

Km 5 - Dislivello 160 mt - Tempo H0,3 / 1

Route that allows you to enjoy some beautiful views of the Bardineto plateau, the surrounding mountains (in particular the Rocca Barbena, which from here shows its Dolomite side) and offers a beautiful stretch of path in acronym track.

Take the capital to Piazza Vittorio Veneto (km 0.5) where you turn left in steep climb and take Via IV Novembre which accesses the Crosa resort with two hairpin bends; follow the road in modest climb to the end of the asphalt with wide panoramic views (km 2.1). Near a case of the aqueduct take the steep dirt road that leads to Cianazzo, where the road becomes flat. After about 100 meters turn left (km 2.6) and enter a fabulous path that with rapid descent leads near a bridge over the Rio Secco near an ancient lime furnace (km 3.1). Take the very fast dirt road slightly downhill that leads to the flat area meadows behind the capital, where with two close turns you access the bed of the Rio Secco stream, cross it, and along the right side you reach the Groppo locality where the first houses meet; a tear leads to Castello, where you pass near the medieval castle and access the starting point.

Km 5 - Height difference 160 mt - Time H0.3 / 1

Percorso 3 - Case del Fungo , Giogo di Toirano e San Nicolò

Percorso facile che consente di vedere da vicino due delle bellezze principali del territorio: le case a forma di fungo e la chiesa di San Nicolò.

Si raggiunge la località Geirolo seguendo la strdada Provinciale Bardineto - Borghetto oltrepassando la ex casa di riposo Villa Abeti e si svolta a sinistra fra le rade case della località (km 2,3), si percorre la strada prima asfaltata e poi sterrata che raggiunge il convento dei frati cappuccini che si lascia sulla destra. Si entra nel bosco e poco dopo si raggiungono le stupefacenti case fatte a forma di fungo. Si aggirano i fabbricati e si percorre la sterrata pianeggiante in direzione sud-ovest oltrepassando il Rio d'Ambrogio arrivando sulla strada Provinciale in prossimità del Giogo di Toirano ( km 4,3). Si segue la SP fino al passo e in prossimità di un cartello si prende la sterrata contrassegnata AV che si segue fino alla località Valloni ove ad un bivio (km 5,9) si prende il ramo destro e si raggiunge con rapida discesa lo spartiacque con il Vallone del Rio Gambero nei pressi di un quadrivio ove si incontra il sentiero nr.4 (area di sosta Nicampi). Si oltrepassa il bivio e si imbocca il sentiero che con alcuni saliscendi sul filo di cresta conduce infine nei pressi della chiesetta di San Nicolò e successivamente nei pressi della Fons Salutis attraversando subito dopo il Rio San Giovanni per rientrare nell'abitato.

km. 9,2 - Dislivello 200 mt. - Tempo 1h - 1,15

Easy route that allows you to see up close two of the main beauties of the territory: the mushroom-shaped houses and the church of San Nicolò.

You reach the locality Geirolo following the strdada Provinciale Bardineto - Borghetto passing the former retirement home Villa Abeti and turn left among the shaved houses of the locality (km 2.3), follow the road first paved and then dirt road that reaches the convent of the Capuchin friars that is left on the right. You enter the woods and shortly after you reach the amazing houses made in the shape of a mushroom. Wander around the buildings and follow the flat dirt road in a south-west direction passing the Rio d'Ambrogio arriving on the Provincial road near the Giogo of Toirano (km 4.3). Follow the SP to the pass and near a sign take the av marked dirt road that follows you to the valloni area where at a crossroads (km 5.9) you take the right branch and reach with rapid descent the watershed with the Vallone del Rio Gambero near a quadrivium where you meet the path nr.4 (Nicampi rest area). Cross the junction and take the path that with some ups and downs on the ridge finally leads near the small church of San Nicolò and then near the Fons Salutis crossing immediately after the Rio San Giovanni to return to the town.

Percorso 4 - Il Rio Gambero

Percorso che consente di passare dalla vivace conca dell'abitato alla silenziosa ed appartata area del Rio Gambero.

Si raggiunge il locale caseificio e nei pressi di un Pilone della Madonna si svolta a sinistra (km 1,2), oltrepassando il successivo bivio asfaltato e si accede alla località Ruggia nei pressi di un ponticello. Si oltrepassa il ponte sul Rio San Giovanni ( km 1,6) e si prende in modesta salita la strada che si inoltra nel bosco e con alcuni strappi si raggiunge la località Nicampi, ove si incrocia il percorso numero 3 (area di sosta, km 2,9). Si opltrepassa il bivio e con un lungo tratto in piano e varie svolte per aggirare le successive costiere boschive, si taglia quasi interamente la sponda orientale del Vallone del Rio Gambero in direzione della Rocca Barbena fin nei pressi di un rudere ove con rapida discesa si scende nei pressi del Rio e lo si attraversa (km 4,6). Si segue la sterrata in lieve discesa riattraversando poco dopo il Rio che si costeggia a breve distanza fino al ponte della Provinciale 52 (km 6) che si segue per rientrare a Bardineto.

Km 8,1 - Dislivello 120 mt - Tempo 1h - 1,15

Route that allows you to pass from the lively conca of the town to the quiet and secluded area of the Rio Gambero.

You reach the local dairy and near a Pylon of the Madonna turn left (km 1.2), passing the next paved junction and access to the locality Ruggia near a bridge. Cross the bridge over the Rio San Giovanni (km 1.6) and take the road that goes into the woods in a modest climb and with some tears you reach the locality Nicampi, where you cross route number 3 (rest area, km 2.9). You go through the junction and with a long flat stretch and various turns to get around the successive forested coasts, you cut almost entirely the eastern bank of the Vallone del Rio Gambero in the direction of the Rocca Barbena up near a ruin where with rapid descent you descend near the Rio and cross it (km 4.6). Follow the dirt road slightly downhill, crossing shortly after the Rio that runs a short distance to the provincial bridge 52 (km 6) that you follow to return to Bardineto.

Km 8.1 - Height difference 120 mt - Time 1h - 1.15

Percorso 5 - La conca di Pianfieno

Percorso di media difficoltà che consente di accedere ad una delle zone più elevate e di visitare l'amena conca di Pianfieno, passando in prossimità di alcune grosse doline tipiche dell'area carsica della zona.

Si percorrono Via Roascio - Via Roma - Via Mazzini e si segue la Provinciale 60 fino alla località Geirolo, ove in prossimità di una fontana si svolta a sinistra (km 1,7) per seguire Via Principi oltrepassando il ponte di accesso alla frazione omonima. Si giunge in località Piani ove inizia la splendida sterrata che dopo 11 tornanti arriva alla località Scorezzà (km 6,3), ove si svolta verso destra. Si raggiunge la località Quarti sullo spartiacque con la Val Maremola e si devia verso sinistra seguendo la sterrata quasi pianeggiante che accede alla località Verne ove termina la salita (km 8,2). Si prosegue sulla sterrata in discesa fino ad incrociare l'ampia strada forestale che conduce alla località Catalano (percorso numero 7). Si attraversa la sterrata e si imbocca una pista ghiaiosa in ripida discesa che con alcune svolte conduce all'amena distesa prativa pianeggiante denominata Pianfieno, che si percorre fino al termine, ove si trova un bivio (nei pressi dell'omonima area di sosta, km 10,1). Si prende il ramo di sinistra che conduce sulla costiera della Ciazzaira dalla quale si ha una bellissima veduta sulla parte alta dell'altopiano Bardinetese. Si interseca una recente sterrata che si oltrepassa. Il sentiero diventa ripido e roccioso, con qualche difficoltà fino a che si inoltra nel bosco e diviene incassato, perdendo rapidamente quota fino ad innestarsi su una stretta sterrata che conduce in località Principi.

Km 14 - Dislivello 450 mt - Tempo h1,30-2

Medium difficulty route that allows you to access one of the highest areas and visit the amena conca di Pianfieno, passing near some large sinkholes typical of the karst area of the area.

Take Via Roascio - Via Roma - Via Mazzini and follow the Provincial 60 to Geirolo, where near a fountain turn left (km 1.7) to follow Via Principi crossing the access bridge to the homonymous hamlet. You reach Piani where the splendid dirt road begins, which after 11 hairpin bends arrives at Scorezzà (km 6.3), where it turns to the right. Take the left branch that leads to the Ciazzaira coast from which you have a beautiful view of the upper part of the Bardinetese plateau. It intersects a recent dirt road that you pass. The path becomes steep and rocky, with some difficulties until it goes into the woods and becomes recessed, quickly losing altitude until it is nesed on a narrow dirt road that leads to Principi.

Km 14 - Height difference 450 mt - Time h1.30-2

Percorso 6 - Il regno del single track

Percorso di estremo interesse tecnico che dà la possibilità di percorrere alcuni tratti di fantastico single track.

Si segue il percorso numero 5 fino alla località Verne (km 8,3), ove si abbandona la strada sterrata per imboccare un bel sentiero in modesta salita che raggiunge l località Abeti Soprani per scendere poi velocemente in località Vaie, che si raggiunge con un piccolo strappo percorribile solo a piedi. Si scende nuovamente fino ad incontrare i margini della zona prativa di Catalano ove si attraversa una zona pianeggiante, e con una ulteriore rampa non pedalabile si riprende il sentiero per giungere in località Prato Comune ove si entra nelle foreste dell'Acquetta. Si attraversano in piano le pendici del Monte Agnellino fino ad incontrare la pista che accede alla cima. Se ne percorre una breve rampa di 40 mt e la si abbandona per seguire una sterrata in piano che conduce ai margini di una costiera rocciosa ove si imbocca un sentiero pianeggiante molto tecnico che arriva alla località Rampione, ove con una rapida discesa nel bosco si accede sull'ampia forestale Bardineto - Colle del Melogno (km 10,9). Si segue verso sinistra la sterrata in direzione Bardineto (sud-ovest) fino alla località Catalano (area di sosta, km 11,9). Si abbandona la sterrata principale e si taglia in discesa la conca prativa seguendo una traccia di sentiero un po' sconnessa che sbuca su una pista forestale che si segue a sinistra in piano e poi in discesa che conduce in località Pianfieno ove si incontra il sentiero numero 6 (km 13,25). Si percorre la conca di Pianfieno seguendo la sterrata principale aggirando due enormi doline e si imbocca la discesa con fondo ghiaioso che perviene in località Roveirola, ove si lascia la sterrata per imboccare un bellissimo sentiero che compie alcune svolte nel bosco di carpini, taglia due volte la strada sterrata e consente di accedere alla località Cianazzo ove si incontra il sentiero numero 2 (km 15,1) che si segue fino alla partenza

Km 17,2 - Dislivello 550 mt - Tempo h2-2,30

Path of extreme technical interest that gives the opportunity to travel some stretches of fantastic single track.

Follow route number 5 to Verne (km 8.3), where you leave the dirt road to take a nice path in modest climb that reaches the resort Abeti Soprani and then quickly descend to Vaie, which can be reached with a small tear that can only be traveled on foot. You go down again until you meet the edges of the meadows area of Catalano where you cross a flat area, and with a further non-pedalable ramp you resume the path to reach prato comune where you enter the forests of the Acquetta. Cross the slopes of Monte Agnellino flat until you meet the track that accesses the top. Follow a short ramp of 40 meters and abandon it to follow a flat dirt road that leads to the edge of a rocky coast where you take a very technical flat path that reaches Rampione, where with a quick descent into the woods you can access the wide forest Bardineto - Colle del Melogno (km 10.9). Follow the dirt road towards Bardineto (southwest) to the Catalan resort (rest area, km 11.9) to the left. Km 17.2 - Height difference 550 mt - Time h2-2.30

Percorso 7 - Le foreste dell'Acquetta

Percorso di media difficoltà che consente di attraversare interamente le splendide foreste dell'Acquetta.

Si segue il percorso numero 5 fino al bivio in località Scorezzà e si prosegue in piano verso nord l'ampia sterrata per arrivare alla località Catalano (area di sosta, km 8,9). Si continua in lieve discesa percorrendo la stupenda faggeta fino alla località Prala (il pero). Si prosegue in direzione est, prima in piano e poi in salita e si raggiunge lo spartiacque con la Val Maremola (km 11,1). A questo punto si abbandona la strada sterrata principale e con un tratto molto ripido si compie un tornante e si raggiunge la superiore costiera boschiva in prossimità del Colle Bedò nei pressi di un quadrivio che si oltrepassa prendendo il ramo nord in leggera discesa. Si attraversa tutta la costiera dell'Acquetta seguendo la sterrata vallonata in ambiente affascinante fino alla località Bandia, ove si oltrepassa un nuovo bivio, seguendo la sterrata in piano verso ovest fino alla località Fontanini. Due ripidi saliscendi portano sulla parte occidentale del territorio comunale ove con ripida discesa si raggiunge la località Cormore. Si aggira in piano la costiera boschiva scendendo ad un successivo incrocio (km 14,7), ove si imbocca la strada che accede alla località Cian dell'Adè nei pressi di un cippo partigiano (km 15,3). Si percorre a ritroso la strada fino all'incrocio descritto precedentemente e si prende il ramo in discesa fino alla località Monte Mezzano (km 16,3, una brevissima disgressione verso sud fa accedere alle postazioni napoleoniche di monte Mezzano ove si ha una vista aerea dell'abitato). Si prende il bivio a destra seguendo la sterrata che compie due svolte e si inoltra ripida nel Vallone degli Avioai. Al termine della discesa e della sterratasi prende un tratto di sentiero in parte rovinato e poi via via più percorribile che accede al bosco di castagni in località Aviai nei pressi dei ruderi di un seccatoio. Si segue il corso del Rio incassato e si raggiunge l'abitato nei pressi di località Castello.

Km 18,7 - Dislivello 560 mt - Tempo h2-2,30

7 BIS E' una variante alla parte finale del percorso. Dal bivio posto in località Cian dell'Adè, invece di tornare indietro si scende verso ovest per 100 mt ad un successivo bivio e si va a sinistra seguendo una strada di recente realizzazione che scende verso la località Castellaro con ampi tornanti per circa 3 km. Nei pressi della stessa località si svolta con un ultimo tornante verso sud in direzione di Bardineto e dopo 100 mt si imbocca un sentiero pianeggiante con alcuni strappi, molto tecnico e divertente, che dopo circa 1 km sbuca a ridosso dell'abitato in tratto molto panoramico. Con un ultimo strappo si arriva alla località Castello.

Medium difficulty route that allows you to completely cross the beautiful forests of the Acquetta.

Follow route number 5 to the junction in Scorezzà and continue slowly northwards the wide dirt road to get to the Catalano resort (rest area, km 8.9). Continue slightly downhill along the beautiful beech road to prala (the perch). Continue east, first flat and then uphill and reach the watershed with val Maremola (km 11.1). At this point you abandon the main dirt road and with a very steep stretch you make a hairpin bend and reach the upper wooded coast near the Bedò Hill near a quadrivium that you cross taking the north branch slightly downhill. Cross the entire Acquetta coast following the walled dirt road in a fascinating environment to the Bandia area, where you cross a new junction, following the dirt road west to fontanini. Two steep ups and downs lead to the western part of the municipal territory where with steep descent you reach the locality Cormore. Si goes flat around the wooded coast going down to a subsequent intersection (km 14.7), where you take the road that accesses the locality Cian dell'Adè near a partisan cippo (km 15.3). Take the road backwards to the intersection described above and take the downhill branch to monte Mezzano (km 16.3, a very short digression to the south gives access to the Napoleonic stations of Monte Mezzano where you have an aerial view of the town). Take the junction on the right following the dirt road that makes two turns and goes steeply in the Vallone degli Avioai. At the end of the descent and the dirt road takes a partly ruined stretch of path and then gradually more walkable that accesses the chestnut forest in Aviai near the ruins of a drying land. Follow the course of the cashed-up Rio and reach the town near Castello.

Km 18.7 - Height difference 560 mt - Time h2-2.30

7 BIS It is a variant to the final part of the route. From the junction located in Cian dell'Adè, instead of going back you go down to the west for 100 meters at a subsequent junction and go to the left following a recently built road that descends towards the Castellaro area with wide hairpin bends for about 3 km. Near the same location it turns with a last hairpin bend to the south in the direction of Bardineto and after 100 meters you take a flat path with some tears, very technical and fun, which after about 1 km emerges close to the town in a very panoramic stretch. With one last tear you get to the locality Castello.

Percorso 8 - Il giro delle quattro cascine

Si tratta di un percorso a doppio anello di media difficoltà divisibile in due tappe, che consente di conoscere buona parte del territorio comunale passando in zone di eccezionale interesse ambientale, e che permette di transitare nei pressi di alcuni fabbricati rurali isolati che testimoniano ancora oggi il tipo di vita e la tradizione della cultura agraria della Valle Bormida degli anni 30-60.

Si segue il percorso numero 7 fino alla cascina Catalano che ancora oggi viene utilizzata come malga (km 8,9). Si segue la sterrata principale per altri 150 metri e si prende una stradina a sinistra che scende rapida fino ad incontrare il Rio Cuneo, ove si lascia a sinistra il bivio per Costa Abeti, pervenendo all'amena conca di Prato del Cuneo che si oltrepassa per incontrare la strada sterrata Cormore-Agnellino (segnavia X gialla, km 9,45): la si segue in lieve discesa inoltrandosi nelle foreste dell'Acquetta con meravigliose faggete. Si oltrepassa il Rio Piaggia Scura ed un secondo torrente ove la strada riprende a salire con lieve pendenza per circa 500 metri, dopodiché diventa sentiero che si segue per 400 metri per pervenire alla cascina Cormore, da dove si gode uno splendido panorama su Bardineto (km 12,45). Si prende la ripida sterrata che scende verso l'abitato (fondo ghiaioso, prudenza) per pervenire alla località Valdoia che consente un'altra eccezionale vista sull'altopiano e dopo un altro km si perviene nuovamente al punto di partenza (km 14,75, fine del primo anello).

Si segue il percorso numero 1 fino allo spiazzo prativo in località Collette (km 18) ove si prende la strada verso nord-ovest un po' incassata per arrivare dopo 300 metri alla cascina Sciorta (fontana). Si oltrepassa la cascina e si segue l'ampia sterrata pianeggiante che porta sulla strada intercomunale Scravaion-Garessio (km 19,2). Si segue la discesa verso il colle Scravaion che si raggiunge dopo 1 km: qui si incontra la strada Provinciale Bardineto - Albenga, che si segue per circa 2 km per transitare vicino alla cascina Bormida. Con ulteriori 3,5 km si ritorna alla base di partenza.

Km 25,2 - Dislivello 600 mt - Tempo h2,30-3,30

It is a double loop path of medium difficulty divisible in two stages, which allows you to know a large part of the municipal territory passing through areas of exceptional environmental interest, and that allows you to pass near some isolated rural buildings that still testify today to the type of life and tradition of the agricultural culture of the Bormida Valley of the 30s and 60s.

Follow route number 7 to the Catalano farmhouse which is still used today as a malga (km 8.9). Follow the main dirt road for another 150 meters and take a small road on the left that descends quickly until you meet the Rio Cuneo, where you leave the junction for Costa Abeti on the left, reaching the amena conca di Prato del Cuneo that you cross to meet the Cormore-Agnellino dirt road (yellow X signpost, km 9.45): follow it slightly downhill going into the forests of Acquetta with wonderful beech forests. You pass the Rio Piaggia Scura and a second stream where the road resumes to climb with a slight slope for about 500 meters, after which it becomes a path that follows you for 400 meters to reach the Cormore farmhouse, from where you can enjoy a splendid view of Bardineto (km 12.45). Take the steep dirt road that descends towards the town (gravelly bottom, prudence) to reach the Valdoia area that allows another exceptional view of the plateau and after another km you reach the starting point again (km 14.75, end of the first ring).

Follow route number 1 to the prativo clearing in Collette (km 18) where you take the road to the northwest a little recessed to arrive after 300 meters to the Sciorta farmhouse (fountain). Cross the farmhouse and follow the wide flat dirt road that leads to the Scravaion-Garessio intercomal road (km 19.2). Follow the descent towards the Scravaion hill that can be reached after 1 km: here you will find the Provincial Road Bardineto - Albenga, which you follow for about 2 km to pass near the Bormida farmhouse. With an additional 3.5 km you return to the starting base.

Km 25.2 - Height difference 600 mt - Time h2.30-3.30

Percorso 9 - Lo spartiacque tirreno-padano

Percorso che si dirama nella parte ovest del territorio comunale e che consente nella parte alta di percorrere lo spartiacque tirreno padano con bellissime vedute sull'Albenganese, la Rocca Barbena, il Bric Tencione, il Monte Galero e le Alpi Liguri.

Da Piazza della Chiesa si segue il sentiero numero 8 fino alla strada intercomunale Castelvecchio - Garessio. Si prende il ramo in salita e dopo 1 km si giunge alla località Colle, ove ampi spazi prativi permettono favolose vedute panoramiche. Si raggiunge il colletto in località Bric Schenasso (km 6,74). Si svolta a destra e con ultimo tratto in salita si perviene in località Dondella nei pressi della cascina. Si oltrepassa il fabbricato e dopo una salita impegnativa si perviene al colletto Dondella (due brevi digressioni permettono di raggiungere le cime del Monte Groppi e del Bric Tencione (km 8). Si segue la sterrata in discesa che con alcune svolte ed un tratto in ripida discesa perviene alla località Colletto Ortica, ove si incontra un quadrivio (km 9,1). Si oltrepassa il quadrivio e si segue un tratto di sentiero che percorre fedelmente il filo di cresta con brevi saliscendi. Con rapida discesa si raggiunge la località Costa Piccola ove nei pressi di un faggio posto a centro strada si svolta a destra, e con percorso prima incassato e poi a mezza costa si raggiunge la località Calvino (km 11,7). Si svolta a sinistra e con veloce discesa si perviene alla località Braia, ai margini della zona prativa di fondovalle. Si svolta a sinistra e seguendo il corso del fiume Bormida a breve distanza si ritorna all'abitato.

Km 16,8 - Dislivello 500 mt - Tempo h2-2,30

Route that branches off in the west of the municipal territory and that allows in the upper part to walk the Tyrrhenian watershed padano with beautiful views of the Albenganese, the Rocca Barbena, the Bric Tencione, Mount Galero and the Ligurian Alps.

From Piazza della Chiesa follow path number 8 to the intercomal road Castelvecchio - Garessio. Take the branch uphill and after 1 km you reach the locality Colle, where large meadows allow fabulous panoramic views. You reach the collar in Bric Schenasso (km 6.74). Turn right and with the last uphill stretch you can find it in Dondella near the farmhouse. Cross the building and after a demanding climb you reach the Dondella collar (two short digressions allow you to reach the peaks of Monte Groppi and Bric Tencione (km 8). Follow the downhill dirt road that with some turns and a stretch of steep descent reaches the locality Colletto Ortica, where you meet a quadrivium (km 9.1). Cross the quadrivium and follow a stretch of path that faithfully follows the ridge line with short ups and downs. With rapid descent you reach the locality Costa Piccola where near a beech road located in the center of the road turn right, and with a route first recessed and then halfway up the coast you reach Calvino (km 11.7). Turn left and with a quick descent you can get to the locality Braia, on the edge of the meadows area of the valley floor. Turn left and following the course of the Bormida river a short distance away you return to the town.

Percorso 10 - il Vallone del Rio Nero

Percorso che consente di visitare la parte più occidentale dell'abitato ed il selvaggio Vallone del Rio Nero, con le splendide faggete della Tencia e del Rio Nero.

Si prende Via PT Carretto fino alla strada Provinciale 52, e si oltrepassa il bivio in direzione della località Brigneta che si oltrepassa per giungere alle case del Piano. Si prende una strada incassata in ripida salita fino alla località Moglie di Matta fino ad un bivio di cui si segue il ramo destro (km 2,55). Si continua in salita più lieve seguendo altri due bivi a destra e con breve tratto in discesa si raggiunge lo spartiacque con il vallone di Rio Nero. Si percorre un breve tratto in discesa della strada di crinale e dopo circa 100 mt si svolta a sinistra e si prende una strada in leggera salita che taglia in piano il vallone di Rio Nero fino alla località casa Gallo. Un tratto in ripida salita consente di raggiungere una strada posta più in alto (km 5,2) che percorre a ritroso il vallone fino alla località Costa Grossa ove si incrocia il sentiero numero 9 (km 6,6). Lo si oltrepassa e con ripida discesa si raggiunge nuovamente il tratto iniziale del percorso che si segue per circa 100 mt per prendere un successivo bivio a destra. Si perviene ad un colletto che consente di accedere alla località Ortica ove si segue la sterrata principale in lieve salita fino al Colletto Ortica (km 7,05). Si taglia in piano la costiera orientale del Bric Tencione fino al crinale col vallone del Rio Muschieto. Si percorre un tratto della strada di crinale fino al colletto in località Bastione nei pressi delle batterie napoleoniche (km 9,9). Si prende la discesa ripida a destra e la si segue con alcuni tornanti fino ad incrociare il Rio Muschieto ove si incontra il percorso numero 1 che si segue fino alla partenza.

Km 13 - Dislivello 350 mt - Tempo h1,30-2

Route that allows you to visit the westernmost part of the town and the wild Vallone del Rio Nero, with the splendid beech forests of Tencia and Rio Nero.

Take Via PT Carretto up to the Provincial road 52, and cross the junction in the direction of the brigneta area that you pass to reach the houses of the Piano. Take a steeply climbed road to the town of Moglie di Matta up to a junction followed by the right branch (km 2.55). Continue uphill milder following two other crossroads to the right and with a short downhill stretch you reach the watershed with the Rio Nero valley. Take a short downhill stretch of the ridge road and after about 100 meters turn left and take a slightly uphill road that cuts the Rio Nero valley to the Gallo house. A steep uphill stretch allows you to reach a road higher up (km 5.2) that runs back along the valley to the Costa Grossa area where you cross path number 9 (km 6.6). You cross it and with steep descent you reach again the initial stretch of the route that you follow for about 100 meters to take a subsequent junction to the right. You get to a collar that allows you to access the Ortica locality where you follow the main dirt road slightly uphill up to the Colletto Ortica (km 7.05). Cut the eastern coast of the Bric Tencione to the ridge with the Rio Muschieto valley. Take a stretch of the ridge road to the collar in Bastione near the Napoleonic batteries (km 9.9). Take the steep descent to the right and follow it with some hairpin bends until you cross the Rio Muschieto where you meet the number 1 route that follows you until the start.

Percorso 11 - Bardineto Extreme

Percorso impegnativo ma che consente di accedere alla vetta settore orientale delle Alpi Liguri con panorama eccezionale e permette di percorrere un tratto single track in discesa per amanti del genere con presenza di difficoltà tipiche del DH. Dal tratto sommitale del percorso è possibile seguire diversi itinerari per la discesa tutti di elevato interesse tecnico.

Si segue il sentiero numero 5 fino al bivio in località Quarti (km 7,2) e si raggiunge il Giogo di Giustenice (km 7,9). Un primo tratto a piedi fa accedere allo spartiacque tirreno padano che si segue a saliscendi in direzione ovest facilitati dalla presenza della bandierina rossa e bianca dell' Alta Via dei Monti Liguri. Si arriva alle pendici del tratto sommitale del Monte Carmo e si raggiunge un bivio che permette di accedere alla cima da più parti. Con la bici in spalla si prende il sentiero in direzione nord e dopo due tornanti si può ritornare in sella per accedere alla cupola sommitale occidentale della montagna. Si segue il sentiero attraversando un lariceto, arrivando ad un altro bivio dove si scorge la croce di vetta, raggiungibile in 10 minuti (km 8). Dal bivio si prende il sentiero in direzione del Giogo di Toirano. Con la dovuta attenzione si percorre il sentiero in discesa contrassegnato Alta Via dei Monti Liguri che presenta ogni tipo di passaggio tecnico (contropendenze, salti, scalini, erba, roccia, fessure, radici, spuntoni, rami sporgenti), e con percorso tortuoso intervallato da alcune piccole rampe in salita si scende alla località Pagliarina ove si gode di un panorama superbo sull'altopiano Bardinetese. Si segue sempre il sentiero che si snoda parzialmente sul versante tirrenico e si raggiunge un'ampia zona prativa che si percorre tenendo la parte destra vicino al bosco. Giunti quasi al termine si svolta verso nord e si imbocca un fantastico single track che conduce in località Buranco ove si incrocia una pista forestale (km 11,3). Si abbandona l'Alta Via e con veloce discesa si perviene alla località Secai nei pressi di una cinta privata ove si incrocia il sentiero numero 3 che si segue fino all'inizio.

Km 15,8 - Dislivello 650 mt - Tempo h2-2,30

Challenging route but that allows you to access the summit eastern sector of the Ligurian Alps with exceptional panorama and allows you to travel a single track downhill stretch for lovers of the genre with the presence of difficulties typical of DH. From the summit section of the route it is possible to follow different itineraries for the descent all of high technical interest.

Follow path number 5 to the crossroads in Quarti (km 7.2) and reach the Giogo di Giustenice (km 7.9). A first stretch on foot gives access to the Tyrrhenian watershed padano that follows ups and downs in a westward direction facilitated by the presence of the red and white flag of the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri. You arrive at the slopes of the summit section of Monte Carmo and reach a crossroads that allows you to access the top from several parts. With the bike on your shoulder you take the path in a northerly direction and after two hairpin bends you can return to the saddle to access the western summit dome of the mountain. Follow the path crossing a larch, arriving at another junction where you can see the summit cross, reachable in 10 minutes (km 8). From the junction take the path towards the Giogo of Toirano. With due attention you follow the path downhill marked Alta Via dei Monti Liguri that presents every type of technical passage (counterpendences, jumps, steps, grass, rock, crevices, roots, spikes, protruding branches), and with a winding path interspersed with some small uphill ramps you go down to Pagliarina where you can enjoy a superb view of the Bardinetese plateau. You always follow the path that winds partially on the Tyrrhenian side and you reach a large meadows area that you follow keeping the right side near the forest. Almost at the end turn north and take a fantastic single track that leads to Buranco where you cross a forest track (km 11.3). You leave the Alta Via and with a fast descent you can get to the Secai locality near a private wall where you cross path number 3 that you follow until the beginning.

Percorso 12 - L'Alta Via dei Monti Liguri

Percorso favoloso che consente di percorrere le 4 tappe dell'Alta Via che toccano il territorio comunale con favolosi panorami e che permette di apprezzare la variabilità della flora e della fauna sul versante padano e tirrenico e in ambiente alpino con possibilità frequente di incontrare cinghiali, caprioli, daini, scoiattoli, poiane. Data la lunghezza e il dislivello può essere suddiviso in 2 o 3 tappe.

Si segue la strada Provinciale 52 per raggiungere l'abitato di Calizzano ove si imbocca la strada statale in direzione Finale Ligure per raggiungere il Colle del Melogno (km 14,8). Dietro la baita si incontra il percorso contrassegnato AV che si seguirà fino alla località Cascina Laghi. Si percorre in salita la sterrata tagliando le pendici occidentali del monte Tortagna. Un cancello fa accedere alla foresta demaniale della Barbottina e dopo 2 km si arriva nei pressi di una casetta in legno con vicina fontana (km 18). Si continua in salita sulla sterrata principale per arrivare alla località Rampione ove si vedono ampi panorami sul finalese, il Mar Ligure, Genova e le Alpi Apuane. Si segue il percorso AV che si addentra nelle foreste dell'Acquetta e ricalca al contrario il percorso 7 fino alla località Scorezzà (km 22,85) ove si segue invece il percorso 11 fino alla località Buranco (km 32).Si segue in discesa la pista forestale per circa 200 mt, poi si prende un bivio a sinistra che conduce nei pressi del Giogo di Toirano (km 33). Si segue a questo punto il percorso numero 3 fino al bivio in località Valloni ove si prende il ramo destro del bivio giungendo sul crinale del Rio Gambero (km 34,6). Si svolta a sinistra in piano e si taglia la parte alta del Vallone del Rio Gambero fino a che la strada diventa più ripida e con 4 tornanti sale sul crinale tirreno-padano in località Subanco. Si percorre il sentiero di cresta fino alla località Serra (colletto prativo spesso ventoso alle pendici di Rocca Barbena, km 37,2), per poi seguire il lato orientale della montagna con un fantastico single track che si innesta in una pista forestale che conduce al Colle Scravaion (km 40,3). Si oltrepassa il Colle in direzione Albenga e si prende a destra in salita la strada intercomunale raggiungendo il percorso 10 che si segue fino alla località Bric Schenasso (km 43,8). Si oltrepassa il colle e con veloce discesa si perviene alla località Cascina Laghi (km 44,65). Si prende a destra la sterrata ombrosa fra gli abeti che si inoltra nella parte alta di Rio Nero. Dopo 1 km ad un altro bivio si prende un tratto in salita che raggiunge la località Tencione e con un ulteriore tratto in piano si raggiunge il Colletto Ortica (km 46). Si oltrepassa il colle e si segue per breve tratto (150 mt) la sterrata in discesa. Si svolta a destra e si prende una ripida pista forestale incassata che percorre il Rio Fossato per pervenire alla località Piano.

Km 50,6 - Dislivello 1400mt - Tempo h4-5

Fabulous route that allows you to walk the 4 stages of the Alta Via that touch the municipal territory with fabulous views and that allows you to appreciate the variability of flora and fauna on the Padano and Tyrrhenian side and in the Alpine environment with frequent possibility to meet wild boars, roe deer, daini, squirrels, seaman. Given the length and the difference in height it can be divided into 2 or 3 stages.

Follow the Provincial road 52 to reach the town of Calizzano where you take the state road in the direction of Finale Ligure to reach the Colle del Melogno (km 14.8). Behind the hut you will find the AV marked route that will follow you to cascina laghi. Follow the dirt road uphill, cutting the western slopes of Mount Tortagna. A gate gives access to the state forest of Barbottina and after 2 km you arrive near a wooden house with a nearby fountain (km 18). Continue uphill on the main dirt road to reach Rampione where you can see wide views of the Finale area, the Ligurian Sea, Genoa and the Apuan Alps. Follow the AV route that delves into the Acquetta forests and reverse follows route 7 to scorezzà (km 22.85) where you follow route 11 to Buranco (km 32). Follow the forest track downhill for about 200 meters, then take a turn-off on the left that leads near the Giogo of Toirano (km 33). Follow at this point the route number 3 up to the junction in Valloni where you take the right branch of the junction reaching the ridge of the Rio Gambero (km 34.6). Turn left flat and cut the upper part of the Vallone del Rio Gambero until the road becomes steeper and with 4 hairpin bends climbs on the Tyrrhenian-Padano ridge in Subanco. Follow the ridge path to the Serra (often windy prativo collar on the slopes of Rocca Barbena, km 37.2), and then follow the eastern side of the mountain with a fantastic single track that is connected in a forest track that leads to the Scravaion Hill (km 40.3). Cross the Hill towards Albenga and take the inter-municipality road to the right uphill, reaching route 10, which follows up to Bric Schenasso (km 43.8). Cross the hill and quickly descend to Cascina Laghi (km 44.65). Take to the right the shady dirt road between the fir trees that goes into the upper part of Rio Nero. After 1 km at another crossroads you take an uphill stretch that reaches the locality Tencione and with a further flat stretch you reach the Colletto Ortica (km 46). Cross the hill and follow the downhill dirt road for a short distance (150 meters). Turn right and take a steep recessed forest track that runs along the Rio Fossato to reach the locality Piano.

Il percorso interamente segnalato con frecce e pali ad ogni km permette di vedere tre diverse zone di Bardineto con salite pedalabili e belle discese in gran parte in single track.

All Mountain tour consisting of 3 different rings with Departure and Arrival in the center near the Tourist Information Office in Bardineto. The route entirely marked with arrows and poles at each km allows you to see three different areas of Bardineto with pedalable climbs and beautiful descents largely on single track.
